Iranian short film ‘Pass’ is taking part in the International Women Filmmakers Festival Turkey (IWFFT).

The Iranian Youth Cinema Society reported that ‘Pass’ is competing at the fifth edition of IWFFT.

Written and directed by Elika Abdollahi, the film revolves around a poor woman and shows that not everyone is trustworthy.

“I tried to say that not everyone is predictable, even those we have trust in," the director has said of her film.

‘Pass’ is starring Mina Hamedani, Hessam Hosseini, Soheil Mirza, and Ebrahim Barzideh.

The film won the Founders’ Award Drama Short Film at the seventh edition of Down East Flick Fest (DEFF) in the US.

The International Women Filmmakers Festival Turkey aims to “make woman film directors and their movies recognizable by bringing woman filmmakers and other female cinema industry workers together” and to “support and encourage creative women by creating new networks & perspectives, finding possible funds, and making space for the new coming filmmakers’ generation”, the event’s website reads.

The 5th edition of IWFFT kicked off on February 27 and will run until March 8.
